Happy scamper

in 1975, scamp trailers…

were first manufactured by Duane Eveland in Backus, Minnesota. Only the mighty 13-footers were produced back then, and 500 trailers made it off the line in the first year - followed by 600 in 1976, and well over 700 Scamps in 1977. Last Spring, my dream of owning a vintage trailer became a reality when i bought a little 1977 Scamp. There was only one problem - it was located in Portland, Oregon. So my two brothers and i set across the Great West (later joined by my dad) to bring it home to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
